The simple yet ingenious design of the Aquatent promotes natural behaviors in aquatic species such as zebrafish. Aquatent easily fits in 3.5-liter tanks as well as all larger tanks. It provides a hiding place for fry (young fish). The translucent blue design helps foster early detection of health concerns—fish tend to segregate when unwell, and the Aquatent highlights this behavior, allowing for faster intervention. It also promotes natural guarding behavior in males, encouraging spawning in females without increasing aggression. Initial observations have also shown embryo production triple following the introduction of the Aquatent. It can help decrease culling rates because it improves overall well-being, leading to a healthier population. Aquatent is made from premium polycarbonate that is autoclavable, cage-washer safe, and does not degrade in aquatic environments. It’s available irradiated, and a certificate of analysis is available here.
