However, emergencies come in many forms—from bad weather, power outages and water system failures to chemical spills, transportation disruptions, and cyber terrorism. Disruptions are unpredictable and beyond everyone’s control. What’s available one week may be in short supply the next week. Plus, an emergency can require an immediate response, such as providing animals with backup water.
